On December 4, Dr. Jonghan Jin (CTO and Head of R&D) of Meter-Lab delivered an invited lecture titled “The First Step in Measurement” at the 3rd Precision Measurement Tutorial hosted by the Precision Measurement Division of the Korean Society for Precision Engineering. The tutorial was attended by a diverse audience, including researchers, industry practitioners, and students from academia, industry, and research institutes.
Drawing on his 16 years of experience in length metrology research, Dr. Jin clearly explained the fundamental concepts of measurement and inspection, basic terminology, and the meaning of measurement uncertainty, along with practical examples. During the session, a wide range of questions were raised—from basic terminology to advanced topics such as the selection of equipment performance indicators—demonstrating the strong interest and engagement of the participants.
Meter-Lab expects that this lecture will contribute to improving the understanding of measurement across various fields and foster continued exchanges with domestic and international measurement experts. The company remains committed to supporting industrial sites with accurate and reliable measurement technologies. In addition, Meter-Lab participated in this tutorial as a sponsor, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to strengthening measurement capabilities across industry and academia.
